F8 Attendee Map

I was commissioned by LUMENS to create a map plotting the home locations of all the attendees of the 2011 Facebook Developers Conference. The map presents users in an animated fashion, introducing them to the map in 3 different modes: by user ID, age, and gender. I had a week after receiving the data to come up with a final software product that would be aesthetically and conceptually interesting. I took it upon myself to include some analytics at the bottom to add to the explanation of what type of data is currently being plotted on the map. The map is a small portion of a much larger projection wall containing an assortment of graphs, statistics, and data visualizations about the attendees and their activity at the conference.
